Stifel Bank & Trust is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Private Bank Lending team as a Credit Analyst Intern. This team provides customized lending solutions for Ultra-High Net Worth individuals, Family Offices, and entrepreneurs. As part of the Private Bank Lending team, you will collaborate with Financial Advisors and other experts to understand complex assets and support the needs of highly sophisticated clients. As a Credit Analyst Intern, you will support the team with underwriting new lending transactions, managing existing loans, and monitoring portfolio risk. This internship provides exposure to Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Commercial lending, as well as hands-on experience in the end-to-end credit process.



What We're Looking For

  • Assist in analyzing various assets, such as public securities, real estate, and private company ownership, to evaluate loan collateral.

  • Conduct research on collateral and financial markets, and work with team members to assess risks.

  • Help prepare credit documentation, term sheets, and credit memorandums.

  • Support the team in conducting regular reviews of active loans.

  • Assist with renewal requests, amendments, and other client requests.

  • Track and coordinate loan requirements, reporting needs, and collaboration with other departments.

  • Learn to use various banking systems and tools to support loan monitoring.

  • Participate in portfolio risk management and reporting.



What You'll Bring

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Critical thinker with an interest in financial markets, banking, and wealth management.

  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with VBA, SQL, or Bloomberg is a plus.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related business or quantitative field.



Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related business or quantitative field. Junior level preferred. 


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
