Stifel's Technology Product Development department works to transform our digital technology for advisors in order to strengthen client bonds.

 

The Technology Product Development Analyst Intern will work as a member of Stifel's analysis team. The Intern will engage with development teams & product management to analyze, document, and understand business processes and procedures as well as support discovery or solutions for firm driven initiatives and development.

 



What We're Looking For

  • Develop an understanding of the Stifel business & data models and use that knowledge to optimize the relationship between the company and the customer.
  • Field inbound requests from business users and product management and refine requirements until a full understanding is reached on the process being analyzed.
  • Perform limited due diligence to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Work according to standards and practices set by Product Management or senior team members.
  • Gain an understanding of company applications and business practices in the context of how they affect the customer and the business process.
  • Research best practices and supports developing the solutions and recommendations for the business areas as identified.


What You'll Bring

  • Basic understanding of financial industry terminology and concepts.
  • Ability to take a problem and research it from beginning to end creating detailed documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills focused on using logic, reasoning, and data to identify complex relationships as well as to research and discuss recommended uses.


Education & Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business with at least one year of college completed preferred.
  • Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software such as Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Drive applications preferred. 
  • Experience with databases and SQL preferred.


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
