**Job Summary: **
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This full time position is for 3 days per week on a 7A-7P shift, including every other weekend. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in a supportive environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams, effectively communicating patient status and care needs.
- Document patient information and care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans that cater to patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families about illnesses, treatments, and ongoing care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in compliance with facility standards and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training as required.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- Previous nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of nursing principles and practices as well as infection control measures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as scheduled.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 or more pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Capability to assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
