Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for a Circuit Actions Engineer to support the SEWS program in Colorado Springs.
As the Circuit Actions Engineer, you are responsible for overseeing all telecommunications circuits within SEWS boundaries. You will use Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Storefront (DSF) for creating Telecommunications Service Requests/Telecommunications Service Orders (TSRs/TSOs) for new circuits, modifying/amending existing circuits, and issuing discontinues on existing circuits that are no longer required.
Responsibilities
- Generate various reports such as Delayed Service Reports (DSRs), In-Effect Reports (IERs), and Ready For Use (RFU) reports using Telecommunications Certification Office Support System (TCOSS) as needed.
- Work with DISA regarding circuit outages, updates on open tickets, and supporting information.
- Submit System/Network Approval Package) SNAP package on IP-based circuits via the DISA SNAP tool.
- Configure and manage ports on Cisco switches, enabling Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) circuit flow/connection.
- Work with various vendors, Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), DISA personnel as needed.
- Troubleshoot Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) connection issues as well as uses DISA Storefront to order new BGAN Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) as needed.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with cryptos (KG-250, KG-250x, KG-175).
- 1+ years of experience with DISA circuits in some capacity.
- Able to participate in on-call support rotation (approx. one per month).
- Previous experience working in a Tech Control Facility or working with Tech Control personnel is preferred.
- Familiarity with MPLS circuits.
- Must have a Secret clearance.
