This exciting role involves real-time Tier 1 Help Desk services, network and infrastructure monitoring, and rapid response to operational incidents across classified environments.

You'll work with cutting-edge technology platforms like ATLAS and Kobayashi Maru, supporting national defense operations through agile, DevSecOps-driven processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 infrastructure support and network monitoring for Space C2 systems including ATLAS, WarpCore, and KM platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain critical networking components (e.g., switches, firewalls, edge devices, last-mile connectivity) in both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Perform infrastructure configuration management, ensuring all network configurations are documented, tracked, and controlled through Space C2 CMB processes.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and identify, document, and replace obsolete or end-of-life equipment and software within the infrastructure boundary.
  • Conduct real-time fault detection, fault isolation, and troubleshooting of hardware/network issues; escalate critical incidents according to approved procedures.
  • Track and report on infrastructure health metrics including uptime, latency, throughput, and cost per incident using Government-approved dashboards and tools.
  • Support the planning and execution of technical refreshes, coordinating with hardware/software vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical baseline reviews, configuration change boards (CMB), and cybersecurity assessments related to infrastructure assets.
  • Document infrastructure change actions and outcomes in monthly CDRL A005 reports.
  • Ensure 24/7 on-call response availability for urgent infrastructure events outside normal duty hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure support roles.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience supporting DoD or IC environments, including classified (TS/SCI) networks and platforms.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for SAP/SAR access.
  • Proven experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, incident response, and system restoral procedures.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, Microsoft Teams).
  • Hands-on experience configuring, monitoring, and maintaining firewalls, switches, VMs, and cloud-based hybrid environments.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE

Preferred certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • ITIL Foundation or ITIL v4 for service management alignment
  • Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • DoD 8140.01 compliance-related credentials (e.g., CEH, CASP+, CISSP depending on role scope)

Salary range: 100-107K
