We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Coordinator to join our established bid team.

About the Role

You will be part of a team consisting of eight Bid Coordinators, located regionally across the UK, a Bid Consultant, two Commercial Bid Managers, a Bid Library Manager and an Opportunities Manager, all working under the direction of the Head of Technical Bids and Head of Commercial Bids

The Bid Coordinator supports the Bid Manager in delivery of bid and proposal documents and capability statements. The post holder will work closely with the Bid Team for each proposal. This is a key business support role within our business supporting proposal generation and submission. You will play a central role in collating and producing quality information for bids.

With offices based across the UK and Northern Ireland, the role is flexible on location. You will be required to attend your local office as dictated by business needs, but we have adopted a flexible approach to home working.

The Bid Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Technical Bids.

 

Typical activities will include:

 

  • Coordinating the bid management process.
  • Organising mobilisation meetings, check point calls and bid reviews
  • Managing the bid programme.
  • Liaising with the Bid Manager, Technical Authors and external consultants to make sure there is timely collection of all necessary documentation for bids and proposals.
  • Making sure bids and proposals are compliant and delivered by the due date.
  • Proof-reading text to make sure grammar and spelling is correct.
  • Managing bid control procedures to make sure they conform to the Group Bid Management Processes.
  • Reviewing bid outcomes and forwarding high scoring content to the Bid Content Database

Knowledge:

  • Advanced MS office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Publisher or In-Design Creative Suite

  • Flexibility, including a willingness to work outside normal hours of work when necessary
  • Collaborative team working

 

Experience:

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a role demanding similar skills and qualities.  They will have excellent knowledge management and knowledge sharing skills
