We are currently seeking a qualified CADD Technician for performing drafting/production work, being a ProjectWise Admin, and developing additional CADD tools/workflows/training.

Your Role:

  • Prepares CADD files from detailed documents/files provided by design engineers, clients, and/or supporting contractors. Review and manipulate documents as needed. Maintains proper use of reference documents/models and prepares accurate plots of CADD documents.
  • Has or develops an understanding of, and provides assistance with, industry, client, and job specific standards and requirements. 
  • Evaluates and proposes potential efficiency improvement processes and techniques for CADD development workflows within utilized software. Creates documentations, develops, trains, and deploys accepted improvements.
    In general - trains personnel in utilizing company approved software and workflows.
    Identifies opportunities to advance the design review and automation processes for project teams. Promoting and advocating for design software tools and documentation of best practices.
  • Assists with proper integration and utilization of project meta-data from different providers, such as quantity calculations of catalogs, families, and parts within BIM software.
  • Supports the CADD Manager with the administration of and maintaining the CAD Management or Project Execution Plan, including the modification of data management tools as needed.
  • ProjectWise Administration functions – Create and maintain the configuration of access control, users, groups, environments, interfaces, folder structure, Workspaces, Work Sets, Work Areas, etc. as needed to meet required standards and operational goals. Provide ProjectWise technical support for day to day operations and troubleshooting with internal and external consultants.
  • Close coordination with and/or supporting those with the responsibilities of a Document Controller.
  • Remain informed on industry and technology trends/tools.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the A/E/C industry utilizing CADD/BIM software. Preferably with large projects and advanced/specialized drafting. Technical training in drafting may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
  • Experience with ProjectWise 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a desire to learn and grow within the role. Be in touch with the latest industry technology, software, and standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other Bentley programs such as MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer CE, or OpenRoads Designer CE
  • Working knowledge of additional CADD/BIM programs and tools such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit. 
  • PowerShell scripting for ProjectWise – Basic SQL Querying – Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

The hourly range for this position is approximately $60 - $70 depending on education, qualifications, experience and work location.
