Position Summary:

  • Tetra Tech is looking for an experienced content creator and graphic designer to develop and refine written and visual materials that support our global energy projects and clients. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with home office and field-based project communications teams to create compelling, cohesive graphics and visual content for digital and print channels that simplify complex information for diverse audiences 
  • Contribute design elements to presentations, fact sheets, marketing materials, proposals, and tailored products for specific topics and geographies
  • Design and lay out long-form publications such as final and annual reports, white papers, and other technical deliverables
  • Produce graphics that comply with client and corporate branding guidelines and meet accessibility requirements (e.g., 508 compliance per U.S. government regulations)
  • Serve as an expert on client marking and branding guidelines and ensure branding adherence on all project deliverables
  • Provide communication support for events, including graphics to be featured in press releases, announcements, and social media posts; coordinate photography and videography vendors if required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in design, visual arts, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Advanced design skills and experience developing materials and infographics using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Express)
  • Experience with document and publication layout and design
  • Familiarity with and skill in improving the design/layout of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word documents, PowerPoint presentations) and Google Docs and Google Slides
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a global team, working across time zones and cultures
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and perform numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Motivated and energetic self-starter with a positive, inclusive, and creative outlook
  • Demonstrated experience working with communications and technical teams to successfully translate ideas and concepts into compelling visual designs
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills)

Valued Qualifications: 

  • Digital photography
  • Video production and/or editing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and incorporate feedback
  • Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.) 
  • Experience working in international development, energy, and/or environment sectors
  • Experience with USAID or other international development agencies or development finance institutions

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-person and remote work
  • International travel may be required
