Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, is actively searching for an Energy Consultant to be a valued member of our expanding Building Science Group. In this role you will support cutting edge consulting projects as part of a dynamic energy team. The expertise you bring will be pivotal as you provide guidance to building owners, architects and engineers to support sustainable design and optimization strategies. You will have a leading role in delivering energy consulting solutions to decarbonize large scale new developments and existing building portfolios.

Your Role:
As an Energy Consultant, you will work on energy and sustainability planning projects across a range of building types, campuses, and portfolios. You will contribute to developing comprehensive decarbonization strategies, helping clients achieve net-zero energy, carbon neutrality, and energy resilience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing energy modeling and consulting services for building design, energy audits, retro-commissioning, and decarbonization projects.
- Supporting building decarbonization plans for buildings, campuses, and portfolios.
- Developing energy models, conducting energy audits and assessments, analyzing data, and producing energy reports.
- Advising clients and engineering teams on energy efficiency, decarbonization, and resilience strategies.
- Staying current with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building decarbonization and sustainability.
- Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursuing continuous professional development and maintaining a high degree of expertise in energy efficiency and sustainable design.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should bring:
Essential:
- A degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in sustainable building design or energy sectors.
- Expertise in MEP systems, sustainable building design, electrified heating technologies, renewable energy, and energy codes and standards.
- Experience with energy modeling, energy audits, or retro-commissioning projects.
- Familiarity with software tools such as IES-VE, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and CBECC-com.
- Knowledge of data analytics, dashboarding, and programming (Python, R, SQL).
- Ability to utilize advanced data analytics and effectively communicate analysis results.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as PE, LEED AP, CEM, BEMP.
- Experience with commissioning software and ongoing commissioning tools.
- Expertise in mission-critical, life sciences, or electrical systems.

This role presents a remote work arrangement; however, candidates must be located within the United States and authorized to work here. Although we prefer candidates based in Portland or Seattle, we welcome applications from individuals across the country who possess the necessary qualifications and a strong desire to contribute to Glumac's mission. Salary Range:
$85,000 - $125,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package for employees.
