We are seeking a Project Manager to join an established and rapidly growing national program with experience managing projects with a wide variety of client requirements including aspects of environmental planning, compliance, restoration, sustainment, construction management, asset management, and site investigations. This position will work directly for our Coast Guard Team Leader and assist in growing and fostering our 30-year relationship with the Coast Guard.  

The incumbent will support the execution of projects targeting a mix of clients with an emphasis on U. S. Coast Guard and other federal, state, and municipal markets.  Responsibilities:

   Direct projects to include engineering and environmental services, asset management services, and master planning/land development services. 
•    Engineering services include geotechnical investigations, project design, and construction management. 
•    Environmental services include evaluation and management of potential environmental liabilities; site investigation, risk assessment, remediation, and construction management; compliance and permitting; CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA and NEPA support; property redevelopment; and communication and negotiation with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
•    Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary balancing sales and utilization. Assemble and lead teams to effectively and efficiently complete projects on time and within budget and regulatory guidelines.
•    Leverage project and client management skills into program level management of key clients

 Education & Experience:  
•    Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related study is required.
•    Five+ years of technical experience in environmental compliance, planning, civil engineering, asset management, or construction projects. 
•    Current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) is required. Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) is desired. 
•    Current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is desired. 

Qualifications:

•    Highly preferred to have “been the client.”  Prior experience working for a federal or state agency, or at the municipal level is desired. Civil servant service or active-duty military experience while engaged in project management related to relevant services is highly desired. 
•    Personnel with proven leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills will be considered, provided technical/scientific background is established through education. 
•    Enthusiasm for some travel and satisfactory driving record with current US issued driver license. Successful candidate will pass a motor vehicle background check. 
•    Be able, willing, and interested to occasionally perform some work of field teams to stay relevant with the challenges and nuances of field data collection.
•    Proven record of building and leading teams that solve complex problems.
•    Willingness to listen, learn, and apply new skills.
•    Initiative to build own career and success.
