Our Commercial/Private Sector client group in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for an Environmental Remediation Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams executing environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have great problem-solving abilities, possess strong people skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Typical projects include site characterization, strategic cost-effective approaches, human health risk assessments, remedy selection/design, and due diligence. Knowledgeable of environmental regulations, the successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to our clients and will have a responsible position in leading teams and assisting in business development for our Pittsburgh operations.

Responsibilities:   
•    Support development of strategic approaches to achieve the client's end goal.
•    Successfully manage remediation projects, meeting schedules and budgets, exceeding client expectations. 
•    Lead teams for and/or prepare regulatory-compliant work plans and reports for agency review. 
•    Support and/or lead business development efforts as a seller-doer to increase our market share with current and new clients.
•    Interface with client, federal and state regulatory authorities.
•    Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner.
•    Maintain accurate estimated forecast to complete for financial reporting.
•    Prepare proposals, cost estimates and qualification statements.
•    Plan, schedule, maintain budget and coordinate detailed phases of technical work for in a part of a major project and/or in a total project of complex scope. 
•    Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors.
•    Interpret and lead project needs based on regulatory structure and requirements, develop project parameters for environmental investigation and remediation project execution, set milestone schedules, and track progress. 
•    Supervise performance of conceptual and analytical data evaluation and preparation of detailed reports and supporting documents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

•    Demonstrated success in the role as Seller-Doer for private sector customers, providing strong technical direction/support. 
•    Practice strong organizational and inter-personal/soft skills
•    Works well in a team environment and can lead with little direction.
•    Proven project management skills as a project manager or client manager.
•    Proven success in client account management and remediation projects.
•    Strong technical analytical skills and demonstrated excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills are fundamental to this position and are required. 
•    Willing to participate in business development and attend conferences as appropriate.
•    Must possess OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training.
•    Current and valid U.S. driver's license.
•    Must be a United States citizen. 
•    Current professional registration (e.g., P.G or P.E.) or in-training is required. 

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Education & Experience:  
•    BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or related environmental degree is required. 
•    Seven to twelve years of related experience is preferred.
