Description
Expression of Interest: Humanitarian and Development Program Specialists
- Make meaningful impact in supporting Humanitarian and Development Programs in the Pacific.
- Work with an organisation whose values are at the core of its programming.
- Seeking a range of specialists available for full time, part time and casual roles in the next three, six and twelve months.
About the programs
Tetra Tech International Development is proud to deliver a range of humanitarian and development programs throughout the Indo-Pacific region and is continuously seeking to strengthen our pool of experts and staff with candidates who have relevant education, experience and personal attributes.
What we're looking for
We're interested in receiving expressions of interest from individuals who are looking for their next opportunity with strong technical expertise in the delivery of humanitarian and development programs in the following technical areas and who have recent experience working in one or more Pacific countries or Timor Leste. We are looking for:
- Program Leadership and Project Management: Development and Humanitarian programs require strong leadership and management support at all levels. We are looking for driven, committed team members experienced in working at the nexus of donor-funded humanitarian and development programming.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Effective program delivery requires effective and efficient monitoring and evaluation to enable learning and adaptation. We are looking for both experienced and early career individuals.
- Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI): The impact of humanitarian crises and disasters can undermine economic growth and reverse hard-won development gains. It further exacerbates social and economic inequalities, particularly for women, children, older persons, people with disabilities, and other marginalised groups. We are seeking professionals experienced in strengthening of GEDSI in all aspects of program delivery, especially in humanitarian contexts.
- Response Support Personnel: Humanitarian crises and disasters can be dynamic, requiring a range of experienced and adaptive personnel able to respond to challenging situations and support a wide range of tasks. This could include varying engagement modalities such as short-term or casual arrangements.
- Logistics and Support Staff: Supporting program delivery requires staff who can manage logistics, coordinating the movement of people and support to the right place, at the right time and in the right way. This includes both domestic-based roles, as well as short-to-long term deployment opportunities.
In addition to technical abilities, skills, experience and capabilities in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Developing and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders across the Pacific region.
- Experience delivering donor funded programs in the international development or humanitarian sectors, and/or in remote or low-resource settings.
- Working to positively contribute to culture and be results orientated.
- Integration of cross cutting themes (Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion, Sustainability, Localisation) into your work.
We would strongly encourage applications from Pacific Island and Timor Leste nationals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
