Your Role:
- This role will be an hourly contract starting May - August, 2025.
- Support a large variety of geophysical projects.
- Work with other team members to collect geophysics data, including, but not limited to, seismic refraction, MASW, ERT, electromagnetics, downhole, non-destructive testing, and GPR.
- Field troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Process geophysical data collected in the field.
- Assist with safety and logistics planning.
- Work closely with other team members to deliver assignments on schedule and within budget.
- Represent Tetra Tech as a leading industry expert when interfacing with our clients.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate geophysics or geology program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Must have completed 3rd or 4th year of studies.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Positive attitude and sense of adventure.
- Adaptable to different work environments and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Aptitude for working long hours outside in all conditions.
- Must be physically capable of performing the manual labour duties required, including carrying and lifting heavy equipment while navigating steep terrain.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and must provide a current driver's abstract upon hire.
- Safety courses in First Aid, ATVs, WHMIS, and H2S Alive will be an advantage.
- Travel will be required in this position, and candidates must be prepared to undertake field assignments for up to 24 consecutive days at a time.
