Geotechnical Engineer (Mine Waste/Tailings) - Perth

About the role
You will be part of the successful tailings design team. You'll work on a variety of tailings and water dam designs, analysis and construction. This includes feasibility studies, geotechnical investigations, foundation design, design and assessment of mine waste management and water management facilities, hazard and risk assessments, monitoring, mine planning and financial appraisals, construction management and quality assurance, specialist and expert opinions for technical issues.

You will enjoy the support and encouragement of a strong team of 10+ people. You will appreciate a steady flow of work from existing and new clients. The work in our tailings business continues regardless of the peaks and troughs in mining so you can relax knowing that your work and future is secure.
About you
Your background will include:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
· 2+ years' geotechnical tailings and mining experience.
· Technical progression in your geotechnical career.
· The ability to make decisions on drilling, field investigations, laboratory testing, seepage analysis, slope stability analysis, site closure design and construction.
· Ability to manage planned travel within Australia and internationally.
· Must possess a valid driver's license and have the right to work in Australia.
