Your Role:

We are currently seeking a Junior Human Factors Engineer for our Pickering, Ontario office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Responsibilities:

· Human Factors (HF) Specialists apply the knowledge of human capabilities and limitations to the design of systems and equipment.

· Human Factors Engineering ensures that the system and design are compatible with the sensory, perceptual, cognitive and physical attributes of the personnel who operate, maintain and support the system. 

· HF Specialists work as part of multi-discipline teams to analyze information and evaluate existing and proposed designs under the following frameworks: CNSC REGDOC-2.5.1, NUREG 0711 and CSA N290.12.

Qualifications:

· University degree in Engineering or Science specializing in Human Factors Engineering or related discipline (e.g. systems engineering)

· 1-2 years of Human Factors design or systems engineering experience is considered an asset

· Strong technical, analytical writing and presentation skills

· Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel

· Well developed communication, planning, and work organization skills.

· Ability to work in an integrated team environment, and to effectively interface with employees at all levels, and external customers

· Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable and work under tight schedules in a fast paced environment

· Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
