The Opportunity
- Short-term adviser position, up to 30 input days over three-months
- Must be available to travel and work in PNG
- Key position working closely with the Department of Personnel Management
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to work alongside the Secretary for the Department of Personnel Management (DPM). The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for providing high-level advice and co-facilitation of workshops for multiple agencies, assisting with the development, review, and implementation of select GoPNG agency learning and development plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design outlines, activities, and resources for workshops focused on scholarship application and selection processes.
- Facilitate workshops with select agency human resource department teams and other key agency stakeholders.
- Work with select agencies to develop new training plans or review existing training plans, providing feedback and recommendations for further refinement.
- Produce report including feedback on workshop delivery, lessons learned, and recommendations for future support to other GoPNG agencies.
Selection Criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in human resource development or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years desirable) in the development of learning and development plans.
- Demonstrated experience working in PNG and cross-culturally with colleagues, government agencies, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with innovation, adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in a complex, ever-changing environment.
