The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding a for a full-time MMRP Geophysicist (Mid-Level) to join our team. This position will report to Tetra Tech's AGC Technical Manager. The position will include a combination of field and home office duties, with the eventual goal of taking on greater project roles as a Project Geophysicist, Data Analyst or QC Geophysicist. To be considered, applicants must have directly relevant MMRP experience to support the principal duties listed below.
Location is flexible within the contiguous 48 states. Home-based work locations are permitted but reliable Internet service is essential. Convenient access to an airport is preferred due to business travel requirements. Candidates should reasonably expect an estimated 40% annual travel requirement, although more frequent travel may be necessary during surge periods.

Principal Field Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collect DGM and AGC data in support of MMRP projects.
• Serve as a Site Geophysicist, capable of leading a DGM/AGC team and liaising with site management personnel and home office staff.
• Provide technical field oversight of additional data collection teams working concurrently on a project site.
• Perform verification of field records and raw data packages prior to upload for data processing personnel.
• Execute geophysical operations at the task order level in accordance with the project work plan and Tetra Tech's quality system.
• Provide recommendations to senior personnel on geophysical and positioning sensor selection during project bid phases.
• Attend site visits as part of project bid phases.
• Assist with training and development of less experienced staff.
• Represent Tetra Tech within industry technical forums and at industry conferences/meetings.
• Support new hardware and software initiatives undertaken by the enterprise as related to MMRP.
Principal Home Office Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support preparation and/or review of technical memoranda (e.g., IVS Technical Memorandum).
• Attend project status meetings and provide technical assistance, as necessary, to project managers and senior geophysical personnel.
• Process DGM/AGC data, as appropriate based on demonstrated capabilities.
• Provide technical briefs on site visit observations as part of project bid phases.
• Attend internal and external continuing education and training sessions.
Key Education and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum bachelor's degree in geophysics, geology or related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of directly relevant MMRP experience supporting DoD task orders under CERCLA and RCRA, including experience with AGC (note: an exception may be made for fewer years of professional experience based on specific credentials/capabilities).
• Documented experience and proficiency with EM61-MK2 standard DGM sensors.
• Documented experience and proficiency with at least one of the following advanced sensor types: APEX, MetalMapper2x2, Temsense2x2, UltraTEM.
• Documented experience and proficiency with at least one of the following positioning systems: RTK GPS, RTS, SLAM technology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to also work effectively as part of a large, diverse, virtual project team.
• Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot hardware problems in the field.
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training with current 8-hr refresher.
Desirable Additional Education and Experience Requirements:
• Experience collecting AGC data using multiple types of aforementioned advanced sensors and positioning systems.
• Experience processing DGM and/or AGC data using Geosoft purpose-built tools.
• Experience processing point clouds for use with SLAM technology.
• Experience working under a robust quality management system (i.e., experience working for a GCO).
• Current participation in MMRP industry organizations (e.g., NAOC, EEGS).
• Current professional licensure or certification in directly relevant discipline (e.g., PG, PE, PGp, PMP, CQA) or willingness to obtain licensure.
• Willingness to take on greater role as Data Analyst, Project Geophysicist or QC Geophysicist, commensurate with experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience.
Salary Range: $65k-$85k
