Position Summary:

This position is to provide primary administrative support for the Geosynthetics group.  One of the major responsibilities is GEO payroll. This position provides critical support with real time input due to familiarity with day-to-day operations and crew movement. Support field crews as needed (hotels/logistics).

 

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

 

•    Work independently supporting managers and employees in day-to-day operations.
•    Coordinate all repairs, maintenance, and utilities for the Houston office.
•    Supervise the inventory of office equipment and supplies.
•    Create and complete sustainability surveys on an annual basis.
•    Conduct quarterly MSHA reporting.
•    Arrange hotel accommodations and payment for field crews.
•    Assist with vehicle tracking and assignment of rental charges.
•    Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a weekly basis.
•    Process expense reports for employees and self on a weekly basis. 
•    Track man hours for GEO staff.
•    Allocate invoices and corporate transactions.
•    Track and allocate P card, Ghost card, and fuel man use in the field.
•    Request insurance certificates as required.
•    Assign Waste Management (WM) site safety training.
•    Arrange toilet rentals for project sites as needed.
•    Assist the Human Resources department in providing support to staff and information as needed.
•    Perform additional duties as required.
 

Required Qualifications:

•    High School diploma or equivalent.
•    At least 3 years of administrative and payroll support.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite protocols, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Previous experience in the construction industry.
•    Independent worker that is detailed oriented and a good communicator.
•    Work well under pressure (fire drills/emergencies from the field).
•    Problem solver.

 

Physical Requirements:

•     None outside of general administrative/office position.

 

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

•    Standard office environment.

 


Additional Information

•    This position is required to be in the office Monday – Friday, from 8am-4pm. (Some flexibility on hours).
•    May be required to work (remotely) after hours or on weekends as needed to support field crews.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $50k-$70k

 

A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
