You will be responsible for inspiring and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-added design and project management services for our clients. You will support the strategic development of existing and new client relationships, building trust and developing tailored service offers to meet their specific needs.
You will play an integral role to develop and integrate our asset management strategy into RIBA 3 & 4 design, working with designers and project managers to understand operational needs and support clients deliver the operational benefits of these strategies.
The successful candidate will have significant leadership experience in mobilising and delivering major programmes and the development of asset management strategies in complex environments.
Ideally, you will have proven experience across a range of sectors including some, or all of the following:
· nuclear, energy, defence, water, commercial, property and transportation, within both public and private domains.
The right candidate will have a strong technical appreciation and an applied understanding of ISO55001 and the ability to implement strategic asset management plans into operations.
The position will include
- Accountable for annual forecast for revenue and profitability of assigned projects
- Review and support refinement of strategic plans to identify a pipeline and convert it into sales to meet the annual forecast.
- Attend and influence local, regional and national Business Development and relevant sector meetings to help identify opportunities and progress discussions with prospective clients
- Lead with commercial negotiations & settlements
- Consider and implement improvements in Asset Lifecycle & PPM optimisation
- Organise and attend customer meetings and presentations to build strategic relationships and secure new projects
- Develop our Strategic Asset Management capability and client base
The successful candidate will:
· Be a key part of our leadership in the Nuclear Sector and across all our business lines, including our Asset Management & Design and Engineering Business Units
· Communicate and influence at all levels
· Manage, influence and motivate team members
· Act as Framework Director or Sponsor on Framework Contracts

- Build and maintain excellent client relationships and manage key account plans
- Attend tender interviews, client meetings and project meetings, representing Tetra Tech
- Assist operational colleagues with project technical support
- Have an operational understanding of ISO55001 and ability to implement strategic asset management plans into complex operations.
- Identify issues and opportunities within our broader portfolio and generate portfolio wide analysis
- Undergo a full DBS (CRB), SC check if required
The ability to build trust with clients, position and win work and develop further business opportunities through relationship building and partnering will also be a key requirement of the role.
Technical / Commercial
- Work closely with the Project Management Team and other Heads of Practice you will be required to lead, influence and prepare tenders and quotations
- Develop innovative and value-added solutions for clients based on relevant best practice
- Ensure that costs are managed and controlled to ensure the achievement of successful project delivery and profitability
- Ensure that all project activities are managed and compliant with group policy and procedures (Policy 100)
- Pro-actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficient ways of working within projects, asset management and engineering design activities and more widely across the business ensuring that this is shared with colleagues
- Pro-actively identify business development opportunities with existing and new clients and escalate for action and participate in opportunity development and bid submissions
About you
- Considerable experience providing asset management solutions in complex environments
- Thorough understanding of ISO55001 and strategic asset management
- Several years and proven credibility in a senior leadership position
- The skill set and passion for asset management, engineering and leadership with the ability to manage and deliver multidisciplinary projects across a wide range of sectors.
- Proven experience of major project or programme delivery
- Hold or look to obtain as a minimum, security clearance to UKSV SC level and ideally be at or able to attain clearance to DV level.
- Experience of working within the built environment in an asset lifecycle or design context
- Experience of interpreting information and undertaking analysis of information from differing sources to formulate a conclusion
- Willingness and capacity to work away from the home office when required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to teach and mentor junior colleagues to aid their development and improve the quality of output
