The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to support managing projects in our Indianapolis, Indiana office location. The Senior Project Manager will manage environmental projects (CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA and State-level equivalent programs) related to a variety of commercial clients, and key client accounts. This role also requires internal collaboration to lead or support other environmental regulatory compliance projects for commercial clients. A degree and background in geology or related is preferred. This is a client facing role, so previous project management experience, and ability/willingness/aptitude to help with developing client accounts and cross-selling a range of environmental services is highly desired.

Your Role:
The Senior Project Manager will bring technical expertise to site investigation and remediation projects as well as environmental regulatory compliance projects. Expertise with federal and state regulatory requirements for site investigation and remediation programs is required. In addition, expertise with environmental compliance regulatory requirements that support the clients for ongoing commercial/industrial operations. Routine duties of the role include:
- Write proposal, obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, draft cost estimates and project budgets.
- Ability to interface with clients, subcontractors, project groups, and internal customers.
- Develop sampling plans, health and safety plans, supervise and oversee field investigations.
- Prepare technical reports, memos, response to comments tables.
- Prepare and review figures and technical design schematics for remediation and construction projects.
- Review and evaluate environmental and geotechnical data. Perform statistical analyses and provide data-based site recommendations.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team of technical resources.
- Provide project level financial tracking, status reporting, invoicing, and management of account receivable and purchase orders.
- Lead or develop project approach to establish and maintain compliance with environmental regulatory requirements for stormwater management, waste management, spill prevention control and countermeasures, chemical management and reporting, as well as wastewater management.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Geology or closely related science field required.
- Applicants should have at least 14 years of experience in the consulting field.
- A professional registration (PG) is desirable.
- Candidates must have documented success in the following areas: site characterization, remedial design and remedial system permitting, environmental compliance management and expertise with common regulatory programs (federal and state), business development, project management, supervision, and mentoring.
- Current HAZWOPER certification is required.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
