Position Summary:

The role involves working to audit time while providing twice a day audit reports, monitoring support rations in accordance with the project scope, being the primary liaison for clock-in/timekeeping discrepancies and working the teams on site to resolve compliance issues.

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Perform daily time record audits using enterprise timekeeping and reporting systems to ensure accurate employee time tracking across active projects.
  • Validate time entries, approvals, and late submissions, identifying discrepancies and compliance issues.
  • Monitor unapproved, missing, or late time records and ensure resolution within project-defined timelines.
  • Conduct daily dispatch validation by comparing project dispatch rosters against TK3 time records to ensure personnel alignment.
  • Identify discrepancies such as:
    • Personnel dispatched but not clocked in
    • Personnel clocked in but not listed on dispatch
  • Validate proof of work by cross-referencing TK3 time entries with ticket activity (DMTE, Flex Forms, or applicable systems).
  • Confirm disposal and field monitors meet minimum documentation requirements for worked hours.
  • Monitor and validate supervisor-to-monitor ratios in accordance with project scope and compliance standards.
  • Identify and document exceptions to standard ratios and notify project leadership as required.
  • Review Project Labor Codes (PLC) to ensure personnel are assigned correctly and consistently across systems.
  • Generate and distribute daily AM and PM audit reports, summarizing:
    • Dispatch discrepancies
    • Late or unapproved time entries
    • Time record corrections
    • Excessive hours as defined by project leadership
  • Produce weekly trend reports highlighting payroll patterns, compliance risks, and recurring timekeeping issues.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation and reporting templates to support leadership decision-making.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for timekeeping discrepancies and clock-in issues.
  • Execute a structured escalation process for unresolved issues, including:
    • Field Supervisors
    • Operations Managers / Project Managers
    • Directors
  • Track resolution timelines and ensure follow-up communication is completed.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Field Supervisors, and Directors to resolve timekeeping and labor compliance issues.
  • Support project leadership by providing real-time visibility into workforce activity and payroll impacts.
  • Assist with training or guidance for field staff on timekeeping procedures and compliance expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly organized with high-level attention to detail

  • Must be able to receive and execute instructions 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all verbal and written levels 
  • Ability to work outside in a non-typical office environment 
  • Computer literate with proficiency in excel, word, outlook, internet, printer/copier/scanners 
  • Assertive/take charge personality 
  • Mathematical skills 
  • Ability to train additional staff in responsibilities 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
