The successful candidate will work as part of an inter-disciplinary team on a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the design for wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations.  

 

Your Role: 

  • Design all process mechanical portions of wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations for both new construction, assessment, and rehabilitation/replacement projects 
  • Develop, evaluate, and prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications and perform engineering calculations 
  • Prepare technical reports 
  • Meet and correspond with clients 
  • Perform Construction Management services as Engineer of Record during construction and start-up 
  • Support marketing of existing and potential clients and assist in the preparation of proposals 
  • Promote the Tetra Tech brand through work with professional and community organizations 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering required Master's Degree is preferred 
  • 4+ years in the municipal engineering sector 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in  Virginia or North Carolina 
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record 
  • Design experience with Wastewater treatment and pump station projects 
  • Experience with process modeling software (BioWin, Sumo), a plus 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
