Description
Schedule: Day shift, rotating holidays and weekends.
The project technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of floors (hard surface and carpet) in areas that include offices, patient rooms, classrooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas throughout the hospital and Continuing Care Center. Required duties will include general floor cleaning, stripping, waxing, burnishing, shampooing, spot removal, furniture cleaning, window cleaning, preparing conference rooms for events, and cleaning baseboards, corners, doors and vents. The project technician will also be responsible for maintaining all floor care equipment including, but not limited to, minor repairs, replacing squeegees, thorough cleaning of solution tanks, and monitoring battery levels to ensure optimal performance. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by the E.S. Supervisor or Director.
Job Specific Competencies:
- Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
- Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety.
- Is able to work with minimal supervision. Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Qualifications:
- Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prefer 1 to 2 years of work experience.
Pay Range: $17.61 - $19.00 per hour
Starting Rate: Based on experience
