Schedule: Full time, days. 

Main Function:

  • Assists the Director and Coordinators of the Thompson Rehabilitation Services in all phases of department activities, including leadership and coordination of operations of the clerical (registration/scheduling) team, day to day operations including patient care delivery oversight, electronic medical records and billing accuracy, financial and productivity management, and quality improvement for all locations of the rehab department. 
  • Administratively responsible for clerical staff working in the assigned rehab locations including recruiting, selection, training and disciplinary actions.  Maintains day to day oversight of rehabilitation clinicians alerting other supervisors of issues that remain unresolved. 
  • Coordinates interaction and integration of all operational processes with health system departments: Health Information Management, Billing/Finance Department, and Purchasing. 
  • Provides supervisory back-up for all locations as needed including planning, coordinating, evaluating and providing clinical and clerical functions, which actively supports the needs of the Rehabilitation Services department. 
  • Provides and assures high quality reception and clerical services.  Coordinates activities with other services within and outside the Health System to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers. 
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with all external customers including, but not limited to landlords, vendors, school districts, etc. as they related to the Rehabilitation locations.  

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance benefits, ICD-10/CPT coding, and registration process required.
  • Mature, energetic and creative individual demonstrating leadership qualities in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Possesses expertise in decision making, supervisory/management skills, basic financial analysis skills and communication skills.  Requires in depth knowledge of office operation responsibilities, as well as proficient computer skills.  A willingness to learn, be positive, creative and to pursue excellence. 
  • Previous demonstrated success in managing daily operations, budgetary and personnel responsibilities is preferred.

Education and experience:       

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • A.S. in Business or Secretarial Science or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Three years' experience or equivalent experience/skills of at least 7 years in outpatient rehabilitation clinics with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Minimum three years of experience of progressive management responsibilities in a professional office and/or healthcare facility.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge in Microsoft products. 
  • Experience with multiple telephone lines, excellent communication skills and quality customer relation skills are required.

 

Pay Range: $61,000 - $73,000

Starting Pay: Based on experience
