They work in a variety of settings, including private practices, schools, hospitals, and research institutions. Some specific tasks of a Psychologist include:
1. Conducting assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and determine appropriate treatment
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy and other evidence-based interventions
3. Conducting psychotherapy sessions with individuals, couples, families, and groups
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
