The Project Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, etc.) for commercial real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout. Works in collaboration with the assigned project manager, tenant advisory team, clients, owners and others.

It is also the responsibility of the Project Manager not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with tenants, prospective tenants, owners, and vendors but also to focus on productivity and results.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide support to senior team members with project-related communications and expectations.

  • Manage all project documentation including contracts, budgets, schedules and meeting minutes.

  • Monitor project expenses, assist in the preparation of budget forecasts, and ensure project costs remain within the approved budget.

  • Document action items and follow-up with the client/ team through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and signoffs.

  • Assist with development of and maintain the Comprehensive Project Schedule.

  • Track project timelines and costs.

  • Assist management in the implementation of and monitoring the adherence to project governance practices and policies.

  • Prepare various RFPs needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project.

  • Willingness to travel to sites within the Washington DC Metro Area.

  • Additional assignments as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a degree in Architecture, Business, Interior Design, Engineering or Construction preferred.

  • PMP and/or LEED AP preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years project management experience in commercial real estate aspects of Design, Construction, or Project Management.

  • Must have experience/skills in tenant fit-out (architecture, general contracting, construction estimation, scheduling, engineering, design/permitting process, bid development, contract and/or sub-contract management.)

  • Computer proficient, including knowledge in the following programs: Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Teams)

  • Advanced demonstrated knowledge of financial terms and practices.

  • Highly organized.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.

  • Ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client's representatives, and team members.

  • Desire to learn and be a self-starter.

  • Requires some lifting (up to 25lb).

  • Ability to travel.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000 annually
