The Senior Content Strategist will assist the National Business Development team in the creation and execution of technical and complex commercial real estate proposals as well as pitch, introductory, and other business development deliverables. The Senior Content Strategist will be a close collaborator on a team of in-house business development creatives, with exposure to various service lines and subject matter experts throughout the Transwestern Companies. Working under the Director of Content & Strategy, the Senior Content Strategist will work independently on Business Development deliverables, autonomously executing initial strategy and content development through final revision and submission of a wide array of materials while implementing feedback from team members and clients. In addition to technical writing, the Senior Content Strategist must feel comfortable being creative and strategic, taking steps to put the team or client in a positive and compelling light.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Autonomously oversee numerous, simultaneous project processes, from initial strategy through draft review and final submission, adjusting processes to fit within given timelines.

  • Prioritize various projects, managing time according to deadlines and variable client needs.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail throughout project processes to manage and integrate needed stakeholder perspectives.

  • Interact regularly with key staff members, establishing a thorough understanding of their job functions, and engaging them throughout the project process, as needed.

  • Lead in person and virtual meetings along the project process, from introduction, strategy and logistics, content development, revision, and execution.

  • Write short- and long-form copy (initial proposals, bios, case studies, and pitch materials) that is both highly creative and informative.

  • Manage the revision process ensuring all content is completed in a timely manner and incorporates the feedback from various sources including the Director of Content & Strategy, Director of Business Development, and numerous client stakeholders.

  • Assist in additional content-focused deliverables, including occasional creative content for in-house branding agency, Oh To Be (including mission/value statements, names and taglines, messaging guidelines, and marketing text such as website, brochure, and social media content).

  • Grow and maintain a content library and act as the expert knowledge base of existing content for re-use and adaptation.

  • Share, collaborate, and develop relationships with Transwestern marketing professionals.

  • Assist with refining Transwestern's value proposition to stay current and reflect the state of the company, as needed.

  • Write and populate documents in InDesign, making collaboration with the design team easy and seamless.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree with emphasis in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.

  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in proposal or similar writing for commercial real estate services.

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign) and project management software.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and within tight schedules.

  • Must be flexible with process changes and adjustments.

  • Ability to make informed, autonomous decisions to generate the best work product.

  • Solid organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Able to prioritize workload, manage projects, and communicate well with client.

  • Superb interpersonal, collaboration, and consensus-building skills.

  • Must be capable of working independently and proactively, but also collaborate well within a team environment.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Travel may be required.
