Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Director of Clinical Education is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the Transition to Practice program and the Clinical Education department. The Assistant Director selects appropriate psychomotor, cognitive, and affective educational content, materials, techniques, and strategies to establish a positive learning environment for all courses, workshops, and educational offerings. Leads and facilitates instructional design utilizing adult learning concepts to meet program outcomes.
Leads the creation of systematic and practical evaluation aimed at measuring processes and outcomes that are relevant to programs
Applies improvement processes to effect practice change and program development.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Nursing
Current National Certification (such as CNE)
Five (5) years of general clinical experience as an RN.
Three (3) years of educational or similar experience
Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in nursing or applicable field
Seven (7) years of general clinical experience as an RN.
Four (4) years in education setting
THree (3) years in leadership capacity
National Certification in addition to board certification in quality, specialty nursing practice, or other related

Responsibilities:
Collaborates with managers and advanced practice partners to plan and deliver consistent, high-quality education and training for new nursing staff.
Leads, coordinates, and documents new employee hiring, orientation, and ongoing performance feedback in line with UAMS policies.
Supervises and delegates duties fairly, using sound judgment to match tasks to staff skills and clinic needs.
Designs, facilitates, and evaluates educational programs using evidence-based practices and adult learning principles.
Partners with Nurse Recruitment and HR to market programs and support recruitment efforts.
Serves on committees and contributes to problem-solving, process improvements, and practice changes to strengthen clinical education.
