Summary of Job Duties: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Nurse Project Manager to join our team. The Nurse Project Manager will provide leadership and project management for maternal health and other community health programs. Primarily, the Nurse Project Manager will provide clinical direction and coordination for the Center for Women and Infant's Health Post Partum Call Center. Utilizing clinical knowledge and expertise, the primary responsibility of the nurse project manager will be coordinating call schedules, leading quality improvement and quality assurance activities. This position will also train nursing staff and ensure proper practice. The Nurse Project Manager will provide project management, nursing management skills, and facilitation through planning, participation, and communication among the team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an associate degree with seven (7) years of experience as an educator/instructor or RN experience OR BSN in Nursing plus five (5) years experience as an educator/instructor or RN.
  • One (1) year of experience in a clinical environment.
  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing license.
  • Current BLS certification OR must successfully obtain certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
  • A valid AR driver's license is required with current automobile insurance and a reliable car for moderate travel to LR occasionally and to surrounding communities (mileage reimbursed at the current state mileage reimbursement rate) if a state vehicle is not available—occasional out-of-state travel.
  • A personal working cell phone is required.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative – Quality Assurance

  • The Nurse Project Manager will work with project leadership to develop processes and procedures for the Post Partum Call Center and potentially other patient-facing maternal health projects.
  • Coordinating call scheduling and leading quality improvement and quality assurance for the Post Partum Call Center team.
  • Adheres to the department's policies, procedures, and processes, including reporting and documentation for internal and external accountability.
  • Identifies issues, potential issues, and outlines plans for process improvement.  

Training and Education                                                                                                                            

  • Providing clinical content expertise, the Nurse Project Manager will coordinate with the communication and education team members to assist in training and education of initiatives.
  • The Nurse Project Manager will collaborate with team members to develop and host the required trainings for staff members in order to meet the project objectives.
  • The Nurse Project Manager understands and complies with organizational protocols including the medical standards and guidelines, risk management and safety procedures, regulations regarding patient rights, and HIPAA Requirements.

Other Duties as Assigned Performs related responsibilities as assigned.
