Scope of Service
The Transplant Nurse Clinician is responsible and accountable for clinical expertise for transplant patient populations.
Patients requiring IV therapeutics and patients in all stages of kidney transplant. Give IV antibiotics and immunological in the clinic setting.
Provides specialized nursing treatment, care, and education to patients in accordance with physician/nursing orders and established policies and procedures.
The Nurse Clinician functions as an integral part of the transplant interdisciplinary team, collaborating with the nurse coordinators, transplant physicians and in accordance with established transplant policies and procedures and contributes to excellence in patient care, research, and teaching within the transplant center.
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid Texas Nursing License or Compact Licensure/Graduate Nurse Permit
Required
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
