Description

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks three (3) full-time GI Hospitalists to provide comprehensive GI care in the inpatient hospital setting. The GI Hospitalist will work as a team along with colleagues and GI APPS to provide GI consultation and emergent and non-emergent endoscopic procedures at the University of Maryland Medical System hospitals. Qualified candidates must be skilled in routine endoscopic procedures, but ERCP and EUS expertise is not required.

Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. We offer competitive salary and benefits.

This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Successful candidates must be BC/BE in Gastroenterology as well as eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maryland.
