Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree; one year administration experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training & experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and a desire for a career in fundraising.
Preferred experience with at least one (1) year experience in development, preferably in higher education, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates must also possess outstanding speaking, writing, and time-management skills. The position requires occasional evening/weekend hours and may require some travel.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. The Associate will enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously and be capable of prioritizing work and meeting deadlines. Some database experience is required. Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is preferred.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, well-organized, detail-and solution-oriented, and must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as time and project management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Development Associate reports to the Senior Director of Development and plays an integral team role in planning, coordinating and producing the programming and events to further the mission of the Callier Center. Working closely with the Executive Director, Directors of Development, Director of Development Communications, Assistant Director of Annual Giving, and Financial Analyst, the Development Associate will have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute across multiple development functions. The Associate will also work with Callier clinicians and the UT Dallas Development/Alumni Relations team in accomplishing job duties.
As a key member of the development team at the Callier Center, the Development Associate will focus on developing and executing meaningful experiences and relationships between the Callier Center and alumni, donors, patients, and community members across north Texas and the US through:
- Overseeing donor stewardship efforts to ensure meaningful engagement and recognition
- Managing gift processing and donor data integrity
- Maintaining accurate records and generating reports to support fundraising efforts
- Assisting with grant applications and foundation reporting
- Providing support for fundraising initiatives, including signature events and campaigns
- Coordinating donor engagement activities such as site visits, tours, and special events
- Collaborating with the development team and advisory boards on strategic initiatives
Associate must be able to represent the Callier Center in a professional, enthusiastic manner with a customer service and team focus and be competent at building relationships with vendors and internal and external stakeholders.

Remote Work Notice:
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
