Description
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the computational systems biology group at the Department of Biological Sciences, The University of Texas at Dallas. Work in the group involves using machine learning and omics data analysis to gain insights into biological systems, including cancer cell plasticity, immune response, and pattern formation in development. Research projects are in close collaboration with other research groups at UT Dallas and other institutions. The postdoctoral scholar will receive training from a primary mentor and other mentors through collaboration. The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to develop new theories and data analytical methods. The group is a supportive, interdisciplinary environment that values mutual respect, collaborative science, and high-quality research.
Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D in a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
Doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computational biology, or bioinformatics. A publication track record in relevant areas. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, Julia. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in English to a scientific audience.
