Become a member of an exciting speech-language pathology program! Will perform diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients seeking treatment for a communication disorder. Provide services to children and their families who are deaf or hard of hearing and be part of the cochlear implant team. Supervise graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology. Holds a current Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Texas or can obtain by the date of hire.

Preferred Education and Experience

Preferred Education and Experience
Along with the required education, three years of experience providing clinical speech-language services for children is preferred, particularly experience in delivering listening and spoken language services to children who are deaf or hard of hearing. A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, along with eligibility to supervise graduate student clinicians. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer state-of-the-art communication diagnostic measures; integrate & interpret findings; provide information, training & recommendations to family, physicians, educators & other professionals; develop & provide individualized intervention or small-group intervention for toddlers, preschool and school-age children as assigned; supervise graduate student clinicians in training
