Description
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking to bring on board a skilled System Analyst for the Data Services team to enhance the efficiency and impact of its data-driven operations. This role will focus on using data analytics tools to automate processes related to maintaining and updating donor and constituent records in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (RE) and RE NXT, as well as providing valuable insights through data visualization tools like Power BI. The ideal candidate will not only manage and manipulate large datasets but will also develop automated workflows that improve data accuracy and drive decision-making related to fundraising, campaign performance, and alumni engagement. This position will play a crucial role in leveraging data to support strategic fundraising and alumni engagement efforts.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, MIS or related field; One or more years experience working with enterprise software applications in a data analysis or business intelligence role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in data management, analysis, and automation.
- Experience with Power Automate and Power Flow for automating data processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and automation tools, especially Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Flow.
- Ability to design and implement data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and support fundraising initiatives.
- Expertise in working with large datasets and developing predictive models for campaign performance and donor engagement.
- Strong communication skills for presenting insights and collaborating with various departments to support their data needs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Automate data management processes in Raiser's Edge and RE NXT using Power Automate and other tools, ensuring streamlined updates to donor and constituent information.
- Design and implement data models that support forecasting, trend analysis, and performance reporting for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
- Develop and maintain systems for automating the identification of data discrepancies and ensuring continuous data integrity across constituent records.
- Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and reports that track key metrics such as donor contributions, campaign performance, and fundraising progress.
- Create visual representations of key fundraising metrics for internal stakeholders, allowing for more informed decision-making around donor outreach and campaign efforts.
- Create automated workflows that support data entry, updating, and validation, reducing manual effort and enhancing the accuracy of data processes.
- Extract and manipulate large datasets to generate actionable insights for the development of strategies that enhance alumni engagement and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure that all data processing and analytics efforts comply with relevant data privacy and security protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments within UTD to integrate data from multiple sources and deliver comprehensive reports.
- Assist with large data imports and exports within RE and RE NXT.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Remote Work Notice:
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
