Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist Loan Review Department Manager in establishing goals, objectives, and plans for the department.
• Assist in implementing the tools and techniques needed to accomplish goals.
• Assist in the department's follow-up on identified issues.
• Independently assess credit quality.
• Evaluate accuracy and timeliness of loan officer assigned risk ratings.
• Test loan officer compliance to Bank policies/procedures.
• Test for compliance with applicable federal laws/regulations.
• Assess management supervision of lending portfolios.
• Prepare written/oral communications and reports.
• Identify, communicate, and support issues that need corrective action and other recommendations for improvement.
• Interact with and support other credit related functions within the Bank.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory and Audit Committee reports as directed.
• Participate in due diligence activities of potential acquisitions.
• Provide training to Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers.
• Guide and lead Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers in achieving departmental objectives.
• Evaluate investment security risk ratings according to Valley standards.
