Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a portfolio of criticized and classified commercial or commercial real estate loans while maintaining ongoing communication and dialogue with clients.
  • Develop action plans and complex strategies to resolve problem loans through modification or transfer to SAD, assuring that credits are accurately risk rated and properly monitored and reported. Underwrite any modifications, renewals, annual reviews. Coordinate all activities required to complete a credit package.
  • Approves Commercial and Industrial transactions and Commercial Real Estate transactions under individual lending authority, when applicable.
  • Ensure the bank is in possession of current financial information, and that all credit documentation on file is complete and accurate in accordance with the Bank's credit policy.
  • Conduct financial analysis (spreading statements), cash flow, evaluation of repayment sources and overall credit risk assessment.
  • Follow past due payments and overdrafts, analyze financial statements, loan documents, and collateral to ascertain best collection route. Interact with Borrowers' Agents (CPA's/Property Managers) regarding management and tracking of covenants/borrowing bases/A-R Aging, required third party reports, appraisals, rent rolls, financial statements, real estate taxes, etc. for their loans.
  • Respond to customer needs in a timely fashion and maintain close customer contact to ensure continued satisfaction and to follow or anticipate additional financing needs.
  • Monitor and report changes in credit quality, making recommendations to senior management as to risk ratings, accrual of interest and charge-offs.
  • Review documentation prepared by legal counsel for accuracy and consultation with attorneys, as needed, regarding forbearance agreements, modifications, etc.
  • Review, analyze and correct any structural or documentation deficiencies and monitor the bank's collateral position.
  • Ensure loan structures are consistent with Loan Policy, identify credit policy exceptions.
  • Ensure that all actions taken are in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Prepare and present quarterly CLMR Reports (Criticized Loan Monitoring Report), as well as other portfolio management reports as required.
  • Prepare Reservation of Rights Letters, Notices of Default and Acceleration, as well as other portfolio management reports as required.
  • Proactively communicate and advise Lenders on issues related to Criticized Loans regarding Bank's Credit Policy and related Procedures/Forms.
