WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the HR processes across all business locations, with a specific focus on Retail and Outlet employees. This position provides essential administrative support to the HR department, ensuring seamless record-keeping, data management, and employee relations functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- New-Hire Background Checks: Facilitate and process background checks for new hires across all retail locations.
- Onboarding Management: Conduct new employee onboarding in ADP, ensuring an accurate and timely process.
- Termination Processing: Handle the completion of all retail employee terminations.
- Recruitment Assistance: Partner with retail leadership to assist with the recruitment process, including identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing offer letters.
- Training Coordination: Organize and schedule training on various software such as ADP and Time & Attendances and mandatory state compliances.
- HRIS Audit: Perform quarterly audits of the HRIS system to maintain accurate data for all retail employees.
- Employee Referral Program: Track and monitor the internal employee referral program to ensure all referrals are processed appropriately through payroll.
- Claims Processing: Respond to workers' compensation, EDD, and disability claims promptly and manage the necessary paperwork.
- Audit Facilitation: Provide records, reports, and documentation during internal and external audits.
- Store Openings: Support the HR team with new store openings.
- Company Internet: Maintain and update Retail/Outlet SharePoint sites.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing HR events and activities.
- Other Duties: Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience working within a multi-state organization.
- Familiarity with ADP systems.
- Understanding of core HR functions and best practices.
- Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations.
- Exposure to payroll processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong desire to exceed expectations and deliver high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $24 -$28/hr . This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
