Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking an experienced full-time (1.0 FTE) Cardiology Device Physician Assistant to join our Tacoma Medical Center team in Tacoma, Washington, with routine coverage at our Silverdale Medical Center.
Position Highlights:
This is a multi-disciplinary practice involving the full breadth of Cardiology care. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of physicians, physician assistants, and robust support staff, including RNs and MAs.
Core Components of this position include:
The APP will be part of a dedicated implanted cardiac device management team within the cardiology division. Their responsibilities will include managing patients with cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIED's) by conducting in-office CIED interrogations, CIED programming, CIED troubleshooting, addressing clinically relevant CIED data, CIED remote monitoring, as well as providing patient education regarding CIED's. Cardiology experience is preferred. Experience in CIED management is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers professional development and career growth by allowing accepted candidates the opportunity for obtaining a new skillset in a supportive environment with time allocated for education and training. The APP will work closely with a lead APP, CIED implanters and electrophysiology colleagues for initial training as well as continuous education and support. Following successful training, the applicant will be a part of a respected full spectrum device management team in a very collegial environment dedicated to teaching and delivering excellent clinical care.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $ 137,239 and $161,457 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience.)

Qualifications
- Required: NCCPA Certification
- Preferred: Cardiology experience preferred.
- Preferred: Cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) knowledge preferred.
- Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
- Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
