Summary
Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) General Surgery Physician Assistant to join our dynamic general surgery team based in Seattle, WA, with occasional coverage at our Bellevue Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and physician collaboration.
Position Highlights:
This is a multi-disciplinary General Surgery practice involving the full breadth of elective and acute care general surgery. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of General Surgeons, General Surgery Physician Assistants, and robust support staff, including RNs and MAs.
Core components of this position include:
- Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic at all points in the care continuum
• First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures
• Community Hospital Rounding & Inpatient management
• Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies
• Shared Call Responsibilities with additional pay earned from overnight and weekend call.
• No trauma component to this position.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $ 136,809 to $160,239+ (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience.) Additional compensation for call responsibilities.

New Hire Incentives:
- Signing Bonus: New Hires are eligible to receive a 10% sign-on bonus
- Relocation Allowance: Up to $13,000 (based on location at time of offer)
Qualifications
- Required: Certified Physician Assistant
- Required: Two years or more of surgical experience
- Preferred: General surgery physician assistant experience
- Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
- Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
