Division Manager – Waste Pro - Pembroke Pines, FL Team!

Waste Pro, a leader in the waste management industry, is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Division Manager to oversee operations at our Pembroke Pines location.   The Division Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and development of the division, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a talented team.  If you are a strategic leader with a passion for team development and customer relations, we want you to join our dynamic team.

 

Summary of Position

The Division Manager is primarily responsible for support, accounting, and operational procedures within a single division. This position is accountable for the growth and development of the division's revenue, the success and development of the division staff, and serves as the ultimate manager for all functions at the division level.  The Division Manager will build rapport and interact with both internal and external customers, including employees, individual businesses, and municipal staff. This position is responsible for developing, with the assistance of the Regional Vice President, the budget and annual objectives. The Division Manager, along with other divisional staff, will work to meet the goals and objectives of the division, region, and corporation. Any issues or concerns should be addressed with the Regional Vice President. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the division in meeting financial, operational, and safety objectives.
  • Oversee all support, accounting, and operational procedures within the division.
  • Develop and manage the division's budget, in collaboration with the Regional Vice President, and work toward achieving set goals for revenue growth.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to divisional staff, fostering their growth and development.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers, including employees, businesses, and municipal staff.
  • Take responsibility for the overall success of the division, ensuring smooth operations across all functions.
  • Address issues or concerns directly with the Regional Vice President, seeking solutions to improve divisional performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience, with a focus on managing teams, operations, and budgets.
  • Strong background in waste management or a related industry is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with employees, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and corporate teams to achieve company-wide goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for supporting all accounting functions, including fiduciary, purchasing, budgetary, forecast, financial planning responsibilities.
  • Responsible for all client support matters.
  • Responsible for meeting, analyzing and discussing matters with the Regional Vice President.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with the managers, drivers, helpers, mechanics, and office staff of each area and their related teams, along with other departments within the organization.
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing staff by overseeing department managers to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for overseeing recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel. With assistance from the local HR team, we ensure new personnel training is conducted to guarantee compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for budget development and review of monthly needs and analysis of yearly projections
  • Responsible for developing cost savings plans.
  • Responsible for assisting with developing and implementing related annual goals and initiatives
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing process and control improvements.
  • Responsible for implementation and oversight of special projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with Municipal staff and developing new relationships for future growth

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.

Employees are responsible for staying up to date on current technology, as job-appropriate, used by Waste Pro USA.

Employees may be assigned additional job duties by the Regional Vice President.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily office and community-based settings.   This is a high-visibility position that requires a professional yet casual appearance.
