Employment Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt Working Hours: 40 hours a week (80 hours per pay period) Shift: 1st shift Position Reports to: Vice President of People Services      Job Summary: At Wilson Health, delivering exceptional care begins with exceptional people.  We are currently seeking an Employee Benefits Specialist to oversee day to day administration of group benefit programs for the organization.  The ideal candidate will strive to provide excellent customer service to a variety of internal customers and external stakeholders, monitoring benefit administration across multiple systems and applications.   The Employee Benefits Specialist will provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefit programs, including leading annual Open Enrollment.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Day to day administration of Wilson Health's employee benefits programs: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, retirement plans, STD, LTD, life and voluntary products.
  • Track and communicate leaves of absence for FMLA, ADA, STD, and LTD within policy guidelines, coordinating with third party vendor.  Provide direction and guidance to employees through the leave process and provide timely communication to leadership regarding employee leaves within their department.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with third-party vendors and stakeholders to ensure plans are accurately and efficiently administered.
  • Perform and oversee audits for data integrity related to enrollments, ACA compliance, COBRA administration, retirement plan data, and file feed error reports. 
  • Work with third party vendors to resolve file feed issues and ensure accurate and timely flow of information from benefits system to vendor system.
  • Prepare and submit data files for internal reporting of benefit programs related to audits, annual compliance testing and year end data collection.
  • Prepare and transmit funding reports for payroll deducted benefits- H S A/FSA and retirement programs.
  • Prepare annual benefits communication strategy for review by department leadership.  Administer and facilitate benefit related communication within the organization in conjunction with the Marketing/Communication department.
  • Serve as main point of contact for employee benefit questions.  Provide timely, accurate information and resolve issues effectively.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee Wellness Fair, including design, deployment, communication, and facilitation of annual open enrollment in conjunction with third party partners and vendors.
  • Assist with special projects related to benefit administration including wellness programs, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvements.
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive benefits experience across all key areas of benefits administration.
  • Demonstrated project management and vendor relations experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to customer service and integrity in word and deed.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefit administration systems, including vendor data integrations/interfaces and file feeds.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and positive, with a strong work ethic and commitment to high quality output.
  • Displays integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
