At Wilson, we use a variety of imaging technologies (Bone Density Testing, CT Scans, CT Heart Screening with Calcium Scoring, 3d Digital Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, Ultrasounds, and X-Rays) to help us obtain detailed views of our patient's internal anatomies, to minimize the need for invasive diagnostic surgery. The department is staffed with highly-trained radiology personnel and several board-certified radiologists, who are trained to read in specific, diagnostic areas. All images are stored on our state-of-the-art Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), which allows physicians to view the images on a computer and send and receive images with other physicians for consultation purposes.   Job Summary: The Director of Imaging and Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the development, implementation, growth and clinical management of the Imaging Department and Cardiovascular Services for Wilson Health.  This includes, but is not limited to, Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, The Francis Women's Center, Cath Lab, Cardiac Diagnostics, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab.  Clinical operations include, but are not limited to, equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.
  • Collaborates with Medical Staff to optimize patient care.
  • Responsible for administering / maintaining a Radiologist contractual agreement.
  • Ensure and maintain required documentation for compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards, and with local, state, FDA, ACR, HFAP and HIPAA regulations.  Monitor compliance with standards, identify variances or inabilities to meet established targets and implement action to ensure that targets are met.
  • Direct the maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficient, safe and effective services for patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Market and promote Imaging and Cardiovascular Services to referring physicians.  Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.  Represent Imaging and Cardiovascular Services on committees and functions including the general public in community relations and marketing activities.
  • Develop and foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing Imaging and Cardiovascular Services and resolution of customer complaints or problems.  Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve problems and provide advice concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Perform all personnel functions including hiring, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary process and scheduling.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current.  Ensure that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use.
  • Develop, implement and apply personnel management policies and procedures in accordance with WMH department policies; ensure that department and hospital guidelines, work rules and personnel policies are understood and applied to staff.
  • Work with all levels of WH to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective use of Imaging and Cardiovascular Services
  • Manage the operating budget within assigned area.  Review productivity and labor analysis and adjust staff to meet budget and flex FTE allotment.  Create operational adjustments to ensure operating budget targets are met.
  • Evaluate and recommend supplies, new equipment purchase selection and technologies; provide justification and prioritization of such needs; order procedural and operational supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Healthcare related field or Business Administration preferred.
  • Previous experience in Healthcare management preferred (3+years)
  • Previous experience managing cardiovascular or imaging care preferred (3+ years)
