Other duties may be assigned. • Ensure applicants meet all accreditation requirements for medical staff membership and/or clinical privileges and in accordance with medical staff bylaws.  • Coordinate all aspects of the credentialing and recredentialing process. This involves sending/receiving primary source verification and other documents as specified by accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.  This would include state licensing boards, National Practitioner Data Bank, educational institutions, peer references, and other documents as required. • Coordinate all aspects of meeting management for medical staff standing committees, ad hoc and special committee meetings. Provide support with various administrative tasks for the medical staff office. This includes scheduling of rooms, dietary, and pre- and post- meeting/event follow up.  Some meetings/events may occur outside of normal working hours.  • Prepare for and actively participate in the ACHC accreditation survey, including interacting with surveyors to demonstrate compliance with standards to achieve accreditation.   • Continually review, revise, and provide input to improve credentialing documents ensuring consistency and in accordance with regulatory agency guidelines. This includes but is not limited to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Delineation of Privilege forms, etc.    • Develop, administer, and maintain an active onboarding program for new physicians joining the medical staff.  • Prepare and maintain records related to medical staff and peer review, including coordination and oversight of the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE)/Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) process. • Oversee medical staff education and development related events and programs. Provides educational opportunity information. (i.e. OMEN) • Oversee and coordinate all provider disciplinary matters, including reporting on such matters to the medical staff leadership, hospital administration, Ohio State Medical Board, the National Practitioner Data Bank, etc.   Qualifications: • Associate degree required.  Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, communications or a related discipline preferred.  • Minimum two years' experience working in a Medical Staff Office and with credentialing.  Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and standards. • Candidates with CPCS or CPMSM preferred. • Proficiency with MD-Staff credentialing software preferred. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with physicians, leaders, colleagues, and external stakeholders in a positive and professional manner. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.   • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and records. • Highly proactive, adaptable, solutions-oriented, and flexible.   EOE (Equal Opportunity Employer)
