Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire WHMG Family Practice - CMA/LPN- FT - 1st Shift For our family Practice in our Anna, Ohio location. SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs clinical and clerical duties under the supervision of the physician/provider and within established guidelines. This role anticipates provider needs and works proactively to ensure efficient, effective, and compassionate patient care while supporting the daily operations of the medical office. Performs all duties under the supervision of the physician/provider and within established clinical guidelines.

Anticipates duties that need to be performed and strives to make the physician/provider as efficient and effective as possible.

Greets patients courteously and escorts them to examination rooms in a helpful and compassionate manner while conducting themselves according to Wilson Health's ASPIRE values.

Obtains and accurately records vital signs, chief complaint, current medications, and allergies.

Assists the physician/provider with examinations and procedures, including blood draws, specimen collection, injections, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and minor surgical procedures.

Provides patient and family education related to medical conditions and care within the guidelines established by the physician/provider.

Documents patient information in the medical record accurately, appropriately, and thoroughly.

Assists with ordering diagnostic tests and procedures, making referrals, and completing referral-tracking documentation within the practice management system.

Communicates with patients and family members in a professional and compassionate manner, including relaying test results under the guidance and direction of the physician/provider.

Performs quality control measures on medical testing equipment, refrigerators, sterilizers, and other applicable equipment; completes all required compliance and quality-control logs.

Maintains appropriate inventory levels of medical and laboratory supplies and orders supplies according to established guidelines.

Follows all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices, as well as all Wilson Health Medical Group and Wilson Health policies and procedures.

Assists with scheduling patients, faxing and electronic communications, telephone duties, form completion, and other clerical responsibilities necessary to maintain an efficient and effective medical office.
Medical Assistant Pathway

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program required.

Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) required.
LPN Pathway

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

Current Ohio LPN license required.

Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within the designated timeframe) required.
