Position Reports to: WHMG - OB/GYN Manager               

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient comfort and collaborating closely with physicians to support accurate diagnoses.
  Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, helping to create a calm and supportive environment.
  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Apply ultrasound gel and position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
  • Assess image quality in real time and adjust techniques to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff by providing images and relevant observations.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including procedure details and clinical notes
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Current certification (e.g., ARDMS) preferred or required based on facility standards.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift or assist patients weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive scanning motions.
  • Comfortable bending, reaching, and repositioning patients as needed.
  • Ability to operate and move imaging equipment in a clinical setting.
