We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our OB/GYN team. This position serves as a vital part of the patient experience and is often the first point of contact for patients and their families. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of our practice.

Our physicians and Advanced Practice Providers offer the care to meet our communities' medical needs with offices conveniently located throughout the region.   Job Summary: The Patient Services Representative plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service both in person and over the telephone. This position supports patients through registration, scheduling, communication, and administrative processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and their families in a courteous and professional manner, both face-to-face and by telephone
  • Welcome new patients to the practice and accurately complete registration processes, including demographic and insurance information
  • Manage incoming phone calls, messages, and electronic communications appropriately while following established protocols
  • Utilize practice management systems, electronic health records (EHR), patient portals, and other technology applications according to guidelines
  • Collect co-pays and account balances while following cash-handling procedures
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently while focusing on patient needs
  • Collaborate with providers and administration to support timely patient access to care
  • Enter patient charges and payments accurately into the practice management system
  • Maintain referral tracking documentation and follow up on outstanding referrals to support continuity of care
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:      To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong customer service skills, be able to work independently, possess strong organizational skills, have the ability to collaborate with clinical and clerical employees, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Medical Assistant training and previous medical office experience is preferred. 
  • Computer experience is required. - Electronic Health Records - (EHR) - EPIC Experience 
  • Leading candidates will have had prior education and/or experience with diagnostic and procedure coding.
