Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Wilson Health Medical Group CMAfor our Sidney City Schools, in Sidney, Ohio.   SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the physician/provider, the Clinical Medical Assistant will perform all clinical duties usually required of a Clinical Medical Assistant in a medical office.  The Clinical Medical Assistant shall report directly to the assigned Office Manager of Wilson Health Medical Group.  All clinical medical assistants are required to maintain continuous certification.   Key Perks and Benefits:

Employment Status: FULL - TIME  (FT=36+ hours) Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. This position will require cross training at all Occupational Health Locations
  2. Performs all duties under the supervision of the physician/provider, and within the guidelines established by the physician/provider; anticipates duties that need to be performed and strives to make the physician/provider as efficient and effective as possible.
  3. Greets patients courteously, and assists patients to the examination room in a helpful and compassionate manner; conducts self according to ASPIRE values.
  4. Obtains and accurately records vital signs, chief complaint, current medications and allergies.
  5. Assists physician/provider with examinations, including blood draws, lab specimens, injections, electrocardiograms; assists physician/provider with minor surgical procedures.
  6. Educates patients/family members on topics related to the patient's medical condition and care within the guidelines established by the physician/provider.
  7. Documents in the patient's medical record accurately, appropriately, and thoroughly.
  8. Assists in ordering diagnostic tests and procedures, and making referrals, including referral tracking documentation in the practice management system.
  9. Communicates with patients and family members in a professional and compassionate manner; communicates test results under the guidance and direction of the physician/provider.
  10. Performs quality control measures on all appropriate medical testing equipment, refrigerators, sterilizers; properly completes compliance logs regarding quality control.
  11. Maintains proper inventory of medical and lab supplies; orders supplies according to established guidelines.
  12. Follows all applicable federal and state laws and regulations; follows Wilson Health Medical Group and Wilson Health policies and procedures; always follows HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices.
  13. Assists with scheduling patients, faxing and electronic communications, telephone duties, form completion and other clerical duties as needed to maintain an efficient, effective medical office.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or a Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  3. Graduation from accredited Medical Assisting program
  LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  The Clinical Medical Assistant must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This job requires direct patient care including but not limited to positioning, bed mobility, transfers, ambulation and wheelchair transport. Measurement of these forces vary greatly with the size and ability of the patient, equipment being utilized, movement being performed, body mechanics utilized and availability of other personnel. Frequency and duration of these physical requirements is also highly variable. Therefore, the physical requirements of direct patient care will not be quantified. The physical demands listed on the last page of the job description pertain to only the tasks which are not direct patient care.
