Job Overview:

The Information Technology Director plans, directs, and coordinates the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure their stable operation. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing hardware, software, and communications links.  The Information Technology Director's efforts result in maintaining a high percentage of systems availability.  The Information Technology Director works closely with operations to define and identify solutions for information needs. The Information Technology Director ensures the integrity and security of data, software and hardware used in WCHGA's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recommends hiring, evaluate, train, motivate, and schedule IT staff to accomplish departmental responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs the day-to-day IT operations for the Northern properties following WCHGA Corporate IT Guidelines.
  • Recommends short-range information technology plans and prepares budget
  • Manages and ensures effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software; Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, etc.  
  • Assists with the negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Assesses and administers all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades of the property, and/or coordinate with WCHGA Corporate IT on enterprise wide upgrades.
  • Establishes best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users on IT issues, IT plans, or solutions.
  • Approves and administers user accounts, permissions, and access rights for employees coordinating with Corporate IT resources as required
  • Consults with and advises Property Manager and Vice President of IT WCHGA management needs and issues
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED–  required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field AND eight (8) years' experience in an IT supervisory/management position–required
    • OR Four (4) years' experience in a Director level position AND eight (8) years' experience in an IT supervisory/management position– required
  • The IT management/supervisory experience should include supervision of direct reports, project management responsibilities, and budgetary responsibilities (operating and capital budgets)
  • Gaming Industry IT management experience in a facility with at least 1,000 gaming devices, a hotel and extensive food and beverage operations– required
  • Experience maintaining mission critical software applications such as CMP, SDS, and Micros to provide maximum availability– required
  • Technical knowledge of Cisco networks and PC operating systems– required
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as HP or Dell servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, and network interface cards– required
  • Extensive experience in supporting gaming applications
  • Must have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including night and weekend schedules
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
