Job Summary
In this role you will provide administrative support for the medical review process. Communicate with clients, donors, labs, and clinicians to handle drug test inquiries. Perform daily call center and administrative activities related to drug testing compliance, documentation and process control, and vendor issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the MRO, clients, clinics, laboratories and other stakeholders to ensure documentation accuracy and time efficiency for all results.
- Document detailed information related to client/donor interaction and review-related issues.
- Answer phone calls, and/or emails from MROs, clients, donors, clinics, and laboratories relating to results, testing, documents processing, reporting and other issues.
- Maintain the process required for compliant medical review and assist in the resolution of issues related to that process.
- Coordinate receipt of source documents with the MRO; resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data on the documents under review.
- Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of all results in the MRO review process.
- Request documentation from vendors, clinics, or clients as required to complete the review process.
- Receiving and reviewing custody-and-control forms to identify correctible, potentially fatal and fatal flaws requiring the cancellation of drug tests.
- Perform extensive follow-up with the client and other co-workers to assure completion of review in a timely manner.
- Addressing medical confidentiality and information disclosure issues.
- Maintain company random drug and alcohol testing pools as well as conduct random name draws and provide statistical data to clients in regards to drug and alcohol testing information.
- Maintain company compliance for DOT regulation of drug & alcohol testing.
- Provide assistance to clients in DOT audits.
- Maintain customers' follow-up program as needed/requested
- Coordinate the scheduling of post-accident, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol visits/encounters
- Participates in on-call coverage outside of regular business hours as needed, including assigned mandatory shifts when volunteer coverage is unavailable; must remain available to respond to work-related requests within 30 minutes while on call.
- Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of WorkCare.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Post high school education in business, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the field of drug and alcohol collection processes preferred.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills to communicate with clients at all levels.

Computer Skills
- Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
- Requires the potential to stand for longer periods of time, working at a copier/scanner.
- Some bending and stretching required.
- Working under stress and use of telephone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
- The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.
- Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled. At home set up must meet all Company IT, privacy and safety requirements.
This position has an hourly pay range of $18 - $20 per hour. Final compensation for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
